Minutes of the Twentieth Meeting of The Otterburn Society Held at the Otterburn Tower Hotel, Otterburn, 24 November 2001 |

Present: Karl Beattie, J Clendestine Beck, Aude Duthiel, JJR Featherstone, B. Firth (Chairman & Treasurer), H Randall Fwack, Nick jemmet, A MQ Jordan, Alan Moore, The former Laird of Fingesk, Gavin Stoddard Murray-Thriepland, Alastair Scarborough, Dave BH Smith, Big Richard Tarn Apologies: None M I N U T E S 1 The Chairman opened the meeting by stating that the Nebuchadnezzar procured for the twentieth anniversary celebrations appeared to be totally inadequate for the needs of the members. This was unanimously agreed by those present, and a further round of Scotch was ordered. 2 The Chairman went on to congratulate all members for the excellent inflations that had been offered by members in climax to their presentations. Toggie blowing had obviously been practiced by members during the previous twelve months, and this matter was noted for the record. 3 The Chairman also noted his appreciation of the excellent journal, presented by MQ Jordan Esq at the meeting. The Chairman proposed that the said member should be nominated for the Wolfgang Award. Mr Scarborough seconded the motion. In the absence of any other nominations, or indeed any other contributors to the Journal, M Q Jordon, was unanimously voted the award. The Wolfgang award was received by M Q Jordan Esq. 3 The Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary resigned, in accordance with rotation. 4 JJR Featherstone graciously agreed for his name to be carried forward for the position of Secretary to the society. His nomination was unanimously voted. 5 Big Richard Tarn was unanimously voted Treasurer of the Society. 6 C B Firth was voted Chairman of the Society, in accordance with Tradition. 7 Their being no further business, the Nebuchadnezzar was opened and the celebrations continued. |
