The Chairman called the meeting to order by proposing a toast to Her Royal Hines, Her Majesty The Queen.

Mr Firth congratulated the winners of the Wolfgang award,  and indicated that he was looking forward to Lorraine using a more traditional form of shears for execution of her duties next year.

MQ Jordan was asked to explain why he hadn't returned the "Wolfgang award".  He explained that this was because he considered that he was likely to have won it just twice, once for his journal contribution on "milk quotas",  and secondly, in the absence of any other contributions this year.  In light of this he thought he'd hold on to it for another year.  Despite attempts to receive a forfeit,  MQ is now the only member of the society to sport a "full" society tie,  this excuse was accepted.

The Chairman, Secretary, and Treasure of the Society retired, in accordance with rotation.

Karl Beattie Esq was nominated Treasurer of the Society.  In the absence of any other nominations,  Karl was unanimously voted Treasurer.

Mr Featherstone was offered a second opportunity to produce the OSJ. It was agreed by Mr Featherstone that the journal would be published on the due date.  Mr Featherstone went on to state that he would offer the sleeve of his best suit in forfeit, if the Journal was not published on time.  This offer was accepted by the members.  Jeremy was elected Secretary of the Society for a further term.

The retiring treasurer,  Big Dick Tarn was nominated Chairman of the society.  This nomination was carried unanimously.

Big Dick asked for some more champagne to be served, and the celebrations continued.
